Join us for a featured exhibit by South Carolina native Will “Willy” Guthrie, whose expressive portraits explore the subtle complexities of human emotion and facial expression.

Working in acrylic on stretched canvas, Guthrie embraces a process-driven approach that allows for freedom, experimentation, and an ever-evolving style. Many of the works in this exhibit are based on photographs of people closest to him, capturing intimate mannerisms and nuanced expressions with honesty and care.

In an age often defined by aesthetic perfection, Guthrie’s portraits invite viewers to reflect on the raw, authentic beauty of being human.
