Cristina, also known as Rowyn Blackhood in the pagan community, officially started her journey into Witchcraft locally by attending Wicca 101 with a traditional Celtic Welsh coven in bookstores, and eventually found her way to CUUPS in 2009. This led her to Florida Pagan Gathering, where she met her high priestess and future coven family in the Gardnerian path, in which she has practicing since 2015. She took over leadership of the coven in 2020 and has been the high priestess of Coven Lia Fail since 2021, teaching weekly and initiating new witches for five years. She also has a new teaching coven in Austin, Texas. Rowyn likes to attend pagan festivals and continue to learn and grow her practice.
We will be covering the topic of traditional Witchcraft and Wicca with the class. From the origins of Witchcraft to the influences of modern Wicca and its founding beliefs, to changes seen as Wicca has evolved since the introduction of the solitary witch, eclectic practices and societal influences, we'll try to get it all in.
Please bring healthy snacks to share .
Door opens at 7pm, come to socialize before we start the meeting at 7:30.
