- **Event Description**: Location: Our new pottery studio, 78 East Main St., Fort Kent (across from McDonald's). Parking available in front of the studio, alongside the former Mooseshack restaurant, and in the rear of the building (follow the porch to the left to reach our side entrance).

Open Studio - Pottery is the perfect time for you to start on that clay project you've been thinking about, or to keep working on an ongoing project, or glaze a piece that you've made in one of our workshops! Kelley Marquis will be on site to help you locate tools and supplies, and answer questions you might have about materials and techniques. 

Open Studios are drop-in, registration is not required. Participants must be at least 14 years of age. 

Pieces made during Open Studio - Pottery will be fired in our Skutt KM1227 kiln. The stoneware clay we have on hand is Cone 6; you will also have access to our house glazes after your pieces have been bisque fired. 

Please note there is a minimum one week wait time for pieces to be bisque fired (they need to dry thoroughly); then, once you have glazed them, there is an additional 1+ week wait for us to have your finished piece ready for you to pick up. Pottery is all about the wait! 

Open Studio - Pottery is by donation for Rivertown members (for now!) and $15 for non-members (unless you're glazing a piece made during one of our workshops). Clay can be purchased for $2 a pound. Any unused clay can be sealed and saved for future projects. Your Open Studio fee includes both bisque and glaze firings.
