For our guided painting this month, we'll be using acrylics to paint a Wolf Silhouette!
This program is free for Rivertown members; non-member participation costs $5 per child or teen. This is a drop-in program; registration is not necessary.
Our weekly Homeschool Program is held every Monday at 2:30pm. The lesson and activity is geared toward homeschool children ages 8 and up, though younger children accompanied by an adult are welcome to join in and participate if they'd like.
We also have a Kids Zone with toys, art supplies, books, and games for children that are not participating in the program; however, this zone is not supervised by Rivertown staff during the program, so adult supervision by a parent or guardian is required.
We have a rotating schedule of art topics each month, and the first program of each month is free for everyone. Consecutive programs for the month are free for Rivertown members, and $5 per child for non-members.
Week 1: Art Technique - learn some of the basics of painting, drawing, and other art forms
Week 2: Learn about Famous Artists - explore the styles of artists from around the world
Week 3: Guided Painting - practice listening skills and following directions and go home with a completed painting!
Week 4: Maker Space - let your creativity run wild! Use Rivertown's large supply of art and craft supplies to make and build whatever you'd like
For those months that have five Mondays, we will work on a seasonal-related craft together on Week 5.
