Invasive Vegetation Cleanup South of Dyke Marsh

The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be improving the trail south of Dyke Marsh.

Volunteers may perform some of the following work:

• Cutting vegetation growing into the trail
• Hauling away vegetation and fallen tree branches
• Picking up trash

What to Bring:

• Water
• Long sleeves and long pants

Where to Meet:

The work area is near the intersection of the Mount Vernon Trail and Tulane Drive. There is a small parking lot but it can fill up quickly.

If driving, we suggest parking on in the neighborhood in and around Tulane Drive and walking to the site. Please be careful crossing GW Parkway.

Group Volunteering:

We welcome groups to come volunteer at our events. It is critical that you reach out and ensure everyone volunteering with your group registers through this EventBrite link so we can better plan work scope, prepare supplies, and promote your group’s attendance on social media.
