Waterworks Preserve Stewardship Day

🍂Fall is beckoning, and so is the Waterworks Preserve! This forested parcel in Fort Gratiot Township contains unique dune and swale habitat created by Lake Huron🌊 thousands of years in the past, but some invasive honeysuckle have snuck in. Together we'll remove this shrub to release its hold in the understory and allow native shrubs and trees to grow!

🗺️Location: Waterworks Preserve, Fort Gratiot

The preserve entrance is immediately west of 3245 S. Shoreview Drive off Lakeshore Road in Fort Gratiot. Park on the road shoulder. Walk south across the drain culvert and enter the Waterworks preserve.
