Meet Chessie, the beloved mascot of the C&O Railway, whose famous image helped make kittens a symbol of railroad history. In honor of Chessie and National Kitten Day, we're partnering with the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter for a day filled with crafts, photo opportunities, and plenty of kitten cuddles. ??

• Chessie & Friends Puppet Show (10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.)
• Crafts & Coloring Stations (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
• Chessie Photo Opportunities (10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.)
• Kitten visits throughout the day from Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter
 
? All kittens will be available for visitors to meet and interact with. Foster and adoption opportunities will be determined by the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter based on availability.
