WE ARE SCENT FREE****Very important to note this is a scent free/alcohol free event. Please refrain from wearing perfume/cologne as we are mindful of those who have sensitivities! We may burn a small amount of sage or Paolo Santo so if you have a sensitivity to this please inform me.****Bring water/water bottle. There is always a water refill station****Bringing something healthy and delicious to share at the end is always welcome. I will always have something ready to nourish and ground .**** You are welcome to bring drums and shakers or any musical instruments you feel inclined to bring . Hula hoops and scarves are fun dance mates! Dress in comfy layers as it can certainly vary in tempature so dress in layers. Most likely you will get hot so bring layers to take off! Sounding is welcome. We play a variety of rhythms and beats from around the world that encourage movement and expression! The journey starts in a low beat to give your body the chance to ground, connect and warm up. The rhythms and beats progressively increase to an energetic peak and slowly come back to conclude with a smooth landing back into stillness.We'll gather for Closing Circle to sound and harmonize a little together and share reflections from the experience (only if we wish). Snacks will be passed around and our circle will be open for socializing until 6:15KASS LUNAA life-long lover of music, Kass Luna’s creative pursuits as a child and teenager were fueled by a soundtrack, often her own mixtapes.When she attended her first ecstatic dance in 2013 on aspontaneous trip to Hawaii, music moved to the forefront, as creativity and healing collided in her world.Over the next several years, she craved the experience of moving with music in a community setting. When she began teaching yoga, curated playlists with ethereal sounds and deepgrooves became her signature vibe.During the following decade, chance encounters with vinyl and electronic DJs piqued her interest, and in January 2024 she gifted herself a DJ controller for her birthday.A few months later, motivated by a YouTube interview with a female DJ, Kass started streaming her DJ sets online with the goal of building up her confidence and skills to eventually perform live events.In December 2024, Kass was hired for her first in-person events, a women’s success summit, followed by an album release party.Kass Luna is passionate about inspiring those around her to live their most playful and joyous lives through sound journeys and unstructured movement.❤️WHAT IS ECSATIC DANCE???One of the many great things about ecstatic dance is that it is free form movement and therefore everyone can do it! No matter what age, what gender, or what culture you are and no matter what actual dance experience you have ... ....none of that dictates your capacity to ecstatic dance! It's about the flow, the organic movement and the freedom to be! There is NO right way or wrong way!With the many ways we have to pre-qualify and validate our status as human beings in order to engage in life, I find it deeply liberating that there is a space that simply accepts me and you for who we are.
