Presented by Jamie Blanchard-Poling
Started in 2018, Compost Queen is the local composting service created by Jamie Blanchard-Poling, a longtime environmental steward and nature lover. Inspired by her passion for renewable energy and zero waste, Jamie started Compost Queen to provide Northern Colorado with an achievable option for home composting. Compost Queen has won Small Compost Manufacturer of the Year from the United States Composting Council, and Jamie has previously served as the Co-Chair of the Colorado Composting Council. Compost Queen currently operates the Fort Collins Food Waste Composting Pilot Program and has diverted over 800,000 pounds of food scraps from Larimer County Landfills.
