Across all cultures, our ancestors practiced forms of spiritual connection to restore balance, receive guidance, and maintain well-being. The practice of shamanic journeying—entering a meditative or visionary state to communicate with compassionate helping spirits—draws on this universal spiritual heritage.
Journeying is not a practice reserved for a select few; it is a natural human ability and survival skill that can be learned and cultivated. Over time this practice can deepen self-awareness, strengthen intuition, and expand your capacity to support healing—both for yourself and for others.
This workshop introduces Core Shamanism, a cross-cultural approach to shamanic practices that are accessible, enlivening, and support good health and well-being.
Through experiential practice, reflection, and discussion participants will:
~ Learn the foundations of Shamanic Journeying, including history, 3 worlds, drumming & rattling, soul remembering, preparation, intention-setting, ethics, and protocols.
~ Meet a personal compassionate spirit guide (Helping Spirit), and learn how to work with them for insight, healing, and personal development.
~ Explore shamanic divination practices, discovering how to frame clear questions and receiving trusted guidance from the Spirit world.
~ Practice in a small, supportive group setting, with individualized guidance, space for integration, and an emphasis on grounded application.
Whether you are a beginner, drawn to deepen your spiritual awareness, or have some journeying experience seeking more practice or direction, this workshop offers a safe and practical space to direct spiritual experience.
By the end, you’ll have a clear framework and personal experience of journeying—empowering you to continue cultivating a respectful, heart-centered relationship with the Spirit World in your own life and practice.
