Have you ever wanted to raise ducks or maybe you just like watching ducks and other birds??... Boy do we have an exciting opportunity for the Fort Bragg Area community ??

At CWA we aren't just about hunting and population control. Our biggest contributing factor is education in our very own home communities! Whether it's teaching kids, teens and adults about bird id, bird banding, firearm safety, just general ethics of land management and waterfowl but now we are bringing a little "hands on" activity and learning opportunity to Fort Bragg and our chapter couldn't be more excited!! 

Come spend a couple hours with us at the newly re-vamped Grey Whale Inn lawn on Saturday, July 18th to help build wood duck boxes. 

?All materials have been donated by your very own local businesses: Holmes Lumber Company and Matson Building Materials 

?Cutting and assembling of box kits are being constructed by Dark Gulch LLC
??(Builders will need to supply their own drills- however CWA will have generators on the premises to charge batteries if needed)

? Can't attend? That's is ok! We will have kits already together that you can take home or schedule a time to pick up from us and make it at your own leisure. 

? Don't feel like you're enough "Bob" to be a builder ?? That's also ok! We will have a number of volunteers there that will help you or just come have lunch, check out our raffle and hang out! ??Builders under 18 MUST have be accompanied by an adult ??

? Want to be a duck parent!? Boxes will be installed in easily accessible areas because these will be actively monitored. Not only are making homes for wood ducks but we also want to see who's actually using the boxes (other birds, mammals, etc.), if eggs have been abandoned, how many hatched, how many didn't, etc. So, either you can sign up to monitor your own boxes or you can join someone. 
?FUN FACT: DID YOU KNOW WOOD DUCKS DON'T BUILD NESTS? THEY JUST LAY ON THE GROUND AND THEY HAVE PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY!

? Not a member yet? Want to be? Sure you do! For every new membership you will be put into a raffle for a logo'd yeti soft cooler and some other little items. Only $35 (sign up gift included) and don't forget! Your money STAYS IN CA... this is how we're able to do these type of conservation and preservation activities such as our Wood Duck Program!
