On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM, the Fort Ann Volunteer Fire Company is hosting White Helmet Wednesday—a TOAC designed for those who wear, or have worn, the white helmet.

Whether you’re a Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, or Past Chief, this is your chance to strap on your SCBA, sweat, push yourself, and continue perfecting the craft. Leadership isn’t just about giving direction—it’s about leading from the front. If you’re no longer SCBA qualified, we still encourage you to attend. There will be opportunities to participate, learn, and be part of the evening.

This event is dedicated to honoring the firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11th, as well as every firefighter we’ve lost in the line of duty. The best way we can honor them is by continuing to train, improve, and lead by example.

All proceeds will benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Our goal is simple: Have at least one white helmet from every fire department in the immediate area on the training ground that evening.

Chiefs—past and present—this invitation is for you. Share it with the leaders you know. Show your members that earning a white helmet doesn’t mean you’ve stopped crawling down hallways, working in the heat, or putting in the effort you ask of everyone else.
