The Class of '71 & '72 know how to party together, always have! Let's do it one more time!! It is time to CELEBRATE!! One night only event. Cruise the calm waters of the Intracoastal waterway aboard a USCG certified 128 foot premier yacht with panoramic views and elegant decor. DINNER and DANCING. A time to recall old memories and make incredible, new memories. The Plantation High School Class of 1972 Reunion Committee has been working hard over the past year to bring the details together for an exceptional evening to celebrate each other and our amazing memories. A 50th CELEBRATION for the Class of 1971 and 1972. Old memories shared and new memories made as we rejoin and rejoice with one another. A HUGE shoutout to all of you that participated so generously toward the fundraiser that helped to kick off this exciting weekend. The evening is sure to provide a journey down memory lane as well as an opportunity to connect with old and new friends creating new lifelong memories. BOARDING LOCATION: The Yacht will be docked at the Bahia Mar Marina, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, Florida .33316. ATTIRE: "DRESSY CASUAL" (translation - slightly dressier than casual attire. No flip flops or shorts, please). TICKET INCLUDES: Four hour cruise includes passed Butler hors d'oeuvres, delicious sit down/buffet dinner, dancing to Top DJ - Tom Caminiti past DJ of WAXY-106FM, HOT-108FM, MAJIC 102FM, LOVE-94FM playing all of our music from "back in the day". Professional photographer capturing the evening and special photos to be shared with each participant. We will cruise down the beautiful smooth and protected Intracoastal waterway on a large, luxurious, air conditioned yacht. The yacht has 4 decks complete with beautiful lounges throughout, impressive dining room, spacious club deck and outstanding sky/open air lounge. Elevator service, bars conveniently on all four decks, restrooms are available on every level. If you have not been to Ft. Lauderdale for a number of years, you will be astounded by the number of luxurious homes (indeed mansions) and magnificent yachts that line the Intracoastal waterway. *Please note, prices have increased significantly since we organized the 2018 event and COVID. The Reunion Committee has strived to keep the ticket price down as much as possible. The generous donations from classmates has provided the opportunity to lower ticket prices. In an attempt to keep individual ticket prices down, beverages will be on a cash bar basis. Reunions are a unique event to coordinate in that they are fully self supported via ticket sales. In order to organize this event, the Reunion Committee must commit to the venue and to entertainment giving non refundable deposits as well as a guarantee of a minimum number of guests. These costs are 100% paid by actual ticket sales. For this reason, tickets are non refundable. COVID /EXTREME WEATHER EVENTS- The Reunion Committee will continue to monitor overall general health status as well CDC requirements as the event approaches. We will also be monitoring general weather conditions. The event will take place RAIN OR SHINE, but will be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather event. Should the decision be made to postpone the event, the venue has agreed to work toward a more suitable date within a 1 year period. Lauderdale Beach. TICKET FEES: The Reunion committee is working on a volunteer basis and no fees are being paid for an event planner for the reunion. EVENTBRITE has been selected for ticket sales as the site is a convenient and efficient way to manage ticket sales and provide accounting services. To perform this service, they charge 3.5% plus $1.59 service fee per ticket and an additional 2.5% for payment processing. These fees will be added to your ticket price. The Eventbrite system does not allow us to restrict people who are underage from buying tickets or qualifying them as alumni (guest excluded). If you are under 21 or the primary ticket holder is not an alumni from Plantation High School, you will not be allowed into the event and no refund will be given. Please do not contact us if there is a ticketing/technical issue as there is nothing we can do to assist. ENJOY RESPONSIBLY: A valid ticket with scannable QR code is required by all guests to enter the event. It is recommended to print a paper ticket to prevent any technology complications that would prevent your ticket from displaying on your phone. EACH TICKET must be scanned. This is a 21+ only event. The Reunion Committee, venue operator and employees reserve the right to inspect all bags and persons. We want all guests to enjoy themselves, but our number one priority is the safety of all guests. The Reunion Committee and venue promote safety and urge all participants to drink responsibly. Please remember, any guest who attends the reunion with you is your personal responsibility. Any individual deemed intoxicated (or otherwise unfit), will be denied entry or asked to leave and no refunds will be given. In using this ticket, you assume all risk incidental to the event to which this ticket admits you, and you waive any rights against the Reunion Committee, event Coordinators, Yacht Owner/Company, the ticket issuer, its agents, management and employees or performers of said entities. These entities and those entities involved in this event shall not be liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind by ticket purchasers or attendees or to any other person or to property, irrespective of the cause of such injury, damage or loss you may have arising out of any accident incidental to attendance. PROHIBITED ITEMS: In an effort to ensure the safely of all, guests are not permitted to enter the venue with hazardous or disruptive items including weapons of any kind.(including but not limited to functional firearms, realistic replica firearms, blunt or sharpened weapons.) LEGAL NOTICE: Drug use or unruly behavior will not be tolerated and may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Any damage to the venue or to property will be the liability of the individual who caused said damage.
