The Doocot overlooks the Battle of Auldearn site and is situtaed with in the town of Auldearn, rich in history from across the centuries.
Join the National Trust for Scotland’s Archaeology Team in an excavation at Auldearn!
The Archaeology Team at NTS are very pleased to announce that we will be conducting an archaeological investigation at Auldearn on land under Trust care, we will be focusing on the fields surrounding Boath Doocot. This excavation is open for community participation. If you’ve ever had an interest in archaeology, then this is your chance to give it a go!
☺ Free to attend, all tools provided and no experience necessary!
☺ Please bring along food & water, waterproofs and sturdy shoes/boots
Come along to dig for part of the, the day, a whole day or the weekend ... or drop in for a chat about what we find!
