- **Event Description**: This Saturday, we launch Jazz @ The Bandstand. It’s been in the works for some time, and it’s something we’re very proud to present in a town that has a rich and varied history with jazz music. Many residents have fond memories of the Nairn International Jazz Festival, which saw incredible musicians light up the town’s stages once a year over two decades, while Jazz Nairn carried the torch in subsequent years. 

Now, the Bandstand is stepping into that legacy to keep jazz at the heart of our community, with a monthly speakeasy-style session in our bar. Saturday’s performance will feature seasoned baritone saxophonist James Steele and Steven Curly. James has a refined sound and commanding stage presence, he offers a rich blend of jazz tradition, soulful melodies, and world-class musical training. He brings a unique blend of American jazz heritage and European finesse to his playing. Steven is a session guitarist based in Inverness. He studied music at James Watt College Glasgow in 2007 and has been focusing on jazz music for the last 10 years, whilst working as a carpenter/joiner in house building. He helps organise Inverness Jazz Club in the house band, as well as musical theatre pit work and deps for local bands.


With music from 8-10pm, it’s sure to be a spellbinding first night.  FREE ENTRY
