Groups across the UK will be coming together to show that people care deeply about the natural world and want to see it protected and restored. The aim is simple: to demonstrate to decision‑makers that safeguarding green spaces is a shared national priority.
Here at the Rising Sun, we’ll be hosting:

💚Rubbish Nature Walk (10am–12pm) - A gentle, family‑friendly walk combining litter‑picking with nature‑spotting, highlighting the impact of litter and the wider pressures facing our environment.
Litter‑pickers and bags provided. Please meet outside the Visitor Centre.

💚Launch of our new Invertebrate Rubbing Plaque Trail - From 10am, trail sheets will be available from the Countryside Centre Foyer. The plaques celebrate the miniature marvels that keep our ecosystems going - a chance to explore, learn and enjoy the small species that make a big difference! 🪲🐝🦋🐞

Throughout the day, we’ll be taking photographs to contribute to the national action, showing both the reality on the ground and the strength of community support for protecting nature and green spaces.

Everyone is welcome to join us - whether for the walk, the trail, or simply to show support.
