Every soldier has a story and Heritage Parks new  "Hall of Heroes" honors those who served this Tuesday with an open house Thank You! The public is invited to step into a 1940's Army Barracks to see and read about the stories of those who served from the North Iowa region. From the Civil War to Afganistan, cannon balls to C-130 105artillaey shells, Air Force to Navy, love letters to 1942 Draft office, Civil War peg leg to Vietnam nurses and all points in between this day is for you! Marvel at the Buns Collection of military models from the display cases to the ceiling in flight!!! And don't be surprised at the 1967 Playboy in the footlocker along with the rolled socks!
Also very popular are the stories and uniforms of local soldiers including Buffington, Shropshire, Caputo, Frakes, Clauson, Hagen, Maas, and Eymann plus many more.
Got a relative or neighbor or friend? We have a reservation for all this Tuesday starting at 10 am - 4 pm. Enter Heritage Park Forest City on #69 and head south to your experience! At Ease and ENJOY!!!
