Four states one groove…
All the way from Perth, Red’s Tribe are set to make their debut in Melbourne with friends The Ska Vendors at the Kindred Bandroom. Established in 2023 by original Ska Vendor Stuart Ferguson, the band has already made waves in Western Australia, assembling some of the finest musicians in the state to deliver the sounds of 60s ska and rocksteady. Named as pick of the fest at Perth Fringe Fest this year and becoming a staple on the WA festival circuit, the band will recreate a red-hot set of Jamaican classics.
Pat Powell needs no introduction to Melbourne audiences and will be once again joining the Ska Vendors on stage. His soulful and powerful vocals are entrancing.
The Ska Vendors have been busy, having released 3 albums in the last two years and will present a selection of original material with a few choice Jamaican covers to get your dancing feet shuffling.
As well as DJ Larrabbee playing his mid-century nuggets on 7 inch, we welcome Mark ‘Reggae fever’ Williamson from Adelaide who will be setting the turntables alight with a selection of rarities and hits.
