- **Event Description**: Back by popular demand for a second year, our Dog Art Masterclass is returning to Hairy Hounds Playground.

Last year, our talented canine artists helped raise $1,050 through participation fees, with the finished artwork later selling for an incredible $800 at our Sunday Sippers fundraiser. Together, that’s $1,850 raised for animals in need.

Sarah Jane May is an acclaimed animal portrait artist known for her stunning large scale paintings that celebrate the beauty, personality and spirit of our beloved pets. Her work is more than art. It is advocacy, helping raise awareness and funds for causes close to her heart, including Mate’s Gift.

Usually found painting pets and teaching their humans to do the same, Sarah once again turns the tables and puts the brushes in the paws of her furry muses.

In partnership with Hairy Hounds Playground, Sarah will guide our dog artists as they help create a large collaborative artwork that will be revealed at the 2026 Mate’s Gift Sunday Sippers Fundraiser.

Each participating pup will receive:

✔️ An art class with Sarah Jane May
✔️ A certificate celebrating their artistic flair
✔️ A printed A3 copy of the final artwork to take home or gift
✔️ A tail wagging good time for a great cause

Every dog who participates helps support the work of Mate’s Gift and the animals we assist throughout Indonesia and Thailand.
