Get ready for a race of epic proportions on Saturday June 6, 2026! The Mother Lode Epic is a point-to-point race with five timed stages over 32 miles and a boat transfer across Folsom Lake.
Racers are shuttled from Historic Folsom to the race start near Coloma. The course winds its way back to Folsom through oak woodlands and rolling hills with scenic views of the American River.
Stage 1 - Coloma to Pilot Hill
Stage 2 - Pilot Hill to Salmon Falls
Stage 3 - Salmon Falls to Folsom Lake Peninsula
Transfer across Folsom Lake via boat
Stage 4 - Granite Bay
Stage 5 - Granite Bay to Folsom
In between stages your time stops and our awesome aid stations not only keep you hydrated and refueled, but mentally rejuvenated with music and a party atmosphere. And don't forget the boat transfer across Folsom Lake to the start of Stage 4!
You’ll finish the last racing stage at Beals Point, and you can take some time to jump in the lake and recover before an easy roll back down to Historic Folsom where the party continues. You can cheer fellow racers across the finish line with a live DJ and beer garden in the amphitheater. Grab your post race recovery meal at one of the restaurants along Sutter Street, and then join us for race awards at 5:00 PM.
