Krisis was lucky enough to be part of the early House scene, and was regularly out in the clubs and raves from 1991 onwards. He started off listening to hardcore, but quickly discovered the power of House Music. Most of the club nights ended up back at a friend’s house for an after party, and that meant trying to master playing on Technics 1210 turntables, but that was as far as trying to DJ went back then, as he was unable to afford his own turntables. Krisis stayed in touch with the House scene and collected all sorts of House Music which he still has to this day.
Fast forward to around 2013 when Krisis started going to a few local old skool House nights, which re-ignited his desire to DJ. The timing was perfect as he was able to purchase some turntables and set about learning to DJ once again. His wife thought it was a midlife crisis (Krisis), hence the DJ name, but he is still going strong and has built up an impressive CV. He has been on Radio for the last 10 years and has had the pleasure of Danny Rampling, Trevor Fung, James Haskell, Eldeanyo and many more great DJ’s join him as guests on his shows.
Krisis has played around the UK at a variety of events, and abroad in Corfu, and Malta. In Kavos he played for 'House Legends' alongside Colin Hudd, Nicky Holloway and Trevor Fung, and in Malta he played for Havin’it at an event named Mysterium alongside Joe Smooth, Dante Payne, Dave Beer, Lisa Loud, and Nancy Noise. He also played the 'Standon Festival', and events such as 'Generations' alongside John Kelly, 'Let Go' alongside Dom Physics, Balearic Sunset alongside Alex P and Sarah LP, ‘Blag’ Events alongside The Filter Freqz, and the long-standing event ‘Culture Shock’ at the Berwick Manor, which has had a whole host of big-name headliners. This year has already been busy for Krisis, with him playing for a variety of promoters, which has taken him to the South Coast, Kent and London. Krisis Has also played at Ministry Of Sound for Select at three of their iconic nights there, playing in the Loft once and 103 twice.
