Experience the best new music in town with The Quarter Sessions, a brand-new live music showcase at The Quarterhouse.
We are launching these pilot events to support up-and-coming artists and help them grow. Each night features five carefully selected artists or bands, each performing a 20-minute set of their strongest original songs. It is a fantastic chance for emerging creatives to perform on a professional stage and connect with new fans.
This project is a true team effort. The venue, promoters, sound engineers, and equipment suppliers are all working together to create a professional live music experience. By sharing their expertise, they are helping to strengthen the local music community.

Chess Smith – Alt Pop
Chess Smith is a critically acclaimed British pop/rock singer-songwriter known for bold, personal songs exploring mental health and resilience. Following a powerful comeback in 2024, her debut EP Saving Lilibet earned major critical praise, BBC Introducing support, thousands of streams, and headline shows, marking her as one of Kent’s standout artists.
Andrei Ionescu – Folk
Andrei Ionescu is a singer-songwriter with over 15 years’ experience writing, recording, and performing original music. Best known as the founder of London band The Alpacas, his work is lyric-driven, melodic, and rooted in storytelling, with songs that are personal, narrative, and emotionally direct.
Dyadine – Acoustic Rock
Dyadine are an acoustic rock duo from Dover, formed in 2024 by guitarist Ash and vocalist Lily. Their sound blends ethereal harmonies with intricate, emotive guitar work to create intimate and atmospheric songs, evolving naturally with each release and focusing on emotional connection.
Kelly Bourne – Indie Pop
Kelly Bourne is a Kent-based singer-songwriter with over 26 years of live performance experience across pubs, festivals, weddings, and venues in the UK and overseas. Performing both solo and as part of bands, she brings a genuine love of music and a strong desire to connect with audiences through emotive expression and creativity.
Mikel Krumins – Alt UK Hip-Hop
Mikel Krumins is a Scottish artist based in Folkestone, working across experimental hip hop, spoken word, and left-field sound. His work has been shared internationally through live performance, radio, and recordings, with a strong foundation in DIY culture and long-term involvement in underground music scenes.
