Our Snowdrop Walk is taking place in the woods around the picturesque
Cinque Port town of Hythe, where friends can catch up with their
colleagues from the Kent Local Section of the Royal Society of
Chemistry. The walk will start at Sandling station and will cover a
distance of 9-12 km at a leisurely pace, leaving from Sandling
station, so everyone can easily get there. It is expected to take 3-4
hours, finishing back at Brockhill Country Park, 15 minutes from
Sandling Station where members can find opportunities for lunch or can
walk on to visit Hythe. We are planning to have a little break at a
nearby pub on the way.
No special equipment is needed but the terrain will be soggy and there
is always a slight
chance of rain, so waterproof walking boots/wellies and a raincoat is essential.
There are 15 places available on a first come first serve basis. There
is no charge for this event but please contact Robert Goldmann via
email
