- **Event Description**: We are delighted to welcome Charles Francis to Holy Trinity Church, Folkestone, for the next recital in our 2026 Organ Recital Series.

Charles is one of Britain's outstanding young concert organists and a former Organ Scholar of Holy Trinity Church. Since his time in Folkestone, he has built an impressive international career, recently graduating with a Master of Music degree from the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he studied with Professor Nathan Laube.

A Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, Charles has won numerous awards, including First Prize in the IAO/RCO Organ Playing Competition and The Dame Gillian Weir Messiaen Competition, and the Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians. His performances have taken him across the UK, Europe and North America, including recitals at Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, St John's College, Cambridge, and the St Albans International Organ Festival.

Originally from nearby Faversham, Charles was Organ Scholar at Holy Trinity Church, Folkestone, as well as St Mary's, Dover, and St Edmund's School, Canterbury, before embarking on his international career.

His programme features masterpieces by Bach, de Grigny, Alain, Mendelssohn, Elgar and Duruflé.
