- **Event Description**: May is Historic Preservation Month! Celebrated annually, the month recognizes and celebrates the importance of historic sites, neighborhoods, and landmarks in shaping communities and preserving cultural heritage. 

To mark the month, we’re hosting a Spring Jubilee at the Gibson-Grant Log House! On Saturday, May 30, join us at the Log House (3615 Grant Court) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to get a hands-on look at life on the Texas frontier, discover wildlife, shuck corn, take nostalgic photos, enjoy period entertainment, and more! In 2022, the Town completed restoration work on the Gibson-Grant Log House, a Triple-Pen structure that was originally built in the early 1860s. Now, in partnership with the Denton County Office of History and Culture, the house is open to the public, free of charge, on Fridays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To learn more and plan your next visit, go to www.flowermound.gov/gibsongrant.
