This Spring Break at Sky Village NYC (Astoria Park) we are all about the BUZZ that makes the world go 'round! Your children will experience 5 days of joyful dirt digging and urban gardening as we adventure through the process of how flowers grow to the animals on the farm!

Our BUZZ-ing lineup for the week includes:

MONDAY: Aquaponics and Sustainable Farming --- Children will learn about farming from waste through story time and art activities, such as building our own mini-aquaponics system!

TUESDAY: Where Do Flowers Grow? --- We will learn about eating seasonal fruits and vegetables and paint our own plant pots for mini herb gardens!

WEDNESDAY: What's All The Buzz About? --- Why do we need bees? Who else can pollinate plants? We'll explore these questions through games and activities such as sculpting beautiful paper honeybee hives! PLUS we'll be getting a visit from a local urban beekeeper at Astor Apiaries!

THURSDAY: Mushrooms and Symbiosis --- children will learn about the miracles of MUSHROOMS. Where they came from and what they can do for the future of sustainable living.

FRIDAY: Fun Friday! --- Children will be traveling on the Q69 bus to 360 Bowl!

**Each day will include outdoor time at either Charybdis or Triborough Bridge B Playground!**

Skills your child will develop include taking turns, working as a team, respect for their environment and responsible behavior in nature -- such as conserving and composting.

This drop-off opportunity is designed for children 5 to 8 years old.

Two adults will be present at all times for up to 10 children.

Our day will start at 8am and end at 6pm.

Extended care is available 4pm-6pm. If you need the childcare until 6pm please choose the EXTENDED DAY TICKET.

During extended care, children will be provided a sustainable living activity on Monday and Wednesday and fundementals of Jiu Jitsu on Tuesday and Thursday.

Please PRE-REGISTER to reserve your child's spot in class.

All CAMPERS should provide their own lunch and snacks as well as 2 bottles of water.

Please NO NUTS. Waivers will need to be signed at the time of drop-off!

Be sure to pack an additional change of clothes in case your little camper gets dirty!
