This 2-day conference will explore the question of liberal arts, in a global context, or precisely, how education in a liberal arts ethos, can address present challenges facing democracy. Foci will also include information and technology transfer, economic empowerment and collaboration on a global stage.


Rollins College Faculty & Students: No fees required

Registration Required for Non-Rollins Faculty & Students

2-day registration [all-inclusive]: $150

Student & Senior Citizen 2-day registration [excluding meals]: $75

1-day registration [all-inclusive]: $100

1-day Student & Senior Citizen [excluding meals]: $45.

Round Table #1: "The Role of Policy in the Global Community," Rollins President, Dr. Grant Cornwell, Convener 9:00 - 10:15 AM

Luncheon (Plated buffet), Ambassador Harriet Elam-Thomas, Speaker 12:00 - 1:45 PM

Round Table #2: "Technology Transfer" (Panelists with both the theoretical and practical expertise) 2:00 - 3:15 PM

Board bus for tour of Central Florida technology company (e.g., Lockheed Martin or simulation giant [Orlando is recognized as THE national "capital" for the simulation industry.] 3:25 PM

Tour4:15 - 4:45 PM

Return to Rollins 5:00 PM

Reception at Residence of Rollins College President7:00 - 8:30 PM
