3rd Annual Tenoroc Kayak Fishing with Friends

All fish must be caught, photographed and released alive in a sporting manner. A cast must be fully retrieved before an angler picks up another rod. All fish must be caught from a kayak. No contestants will be allowed to ride on or be towed by motorized vessels. Safe boating will be observed at all times. Contests must wear a PFD at all times. If someone submits a photograph of a angler on the water without wearing a PFD the contestant will be disqualified. Rain or wind, unless it is severe will not cancel the event, thunderstorms and other severe weather may cancel the event. You will be notified 5 hours before the event if it is canceled for severe weather. If that happens I will reschedule or refund everyone's money. All Anglers are required to have high standards of sportsmanship during the tournament. All FWC rules and laws will be followed with no exceptions.
This event is based on catch, photograph and release scoring by the length of each fish. Fish must be photographed on a bump board for example, a hog trough. No homemade measurement devices allowed. You must clearly show the full length of the fish and token and have your kayak visible. Fish head must be facing left laying flat on measurement device. Mouth can be open or closed but lip must be touching the bump board. Token must be legible and in clear view. The length of each fish is determined by the long point of the basses tail, pinched or unpinched. Length of fish is determined by the 1/4" rounding down to the next 1/4". All measuring devices must be legible, highlight measurement lines with a sharpie or marker if necessary. More than one photo should be taken of each fish in case of photograph errors. This may help the judging process. In case of a tie, the first angler to submit their photo wins. All tackle, spinning, casting and fly is permitted (artificial only, NO LIVE BAITS!!)
Participants may only use digital cameras or camera phones for recording scoring fish. Participants must bring their own cameras; cameras are not provided. Participants should be aware that any photographs downloaded to the tournament computer besides scoring photographs will be seen by the judge and possibly by other competitors and non-competitors. Images may not be digitally altered or enhanced in any way. Anglers should shoot images at maximum resolution possible. Entrants must bring the memory card from their camera to weigh-in and may not in any way transfer images from the camera or edit their contents or file names or metadata prior to check-in. The tournament scorekeeper will download memory cards onto the official computer. The tournament scorekeeper will be able to read SD memory cards; anglers should bring a USB cable for their digital cameras to ensure that their photos may be downloaded. It is the responsibility of the angler to make sure the tournament scorekeeper can view the angler’s images and if the tournament scorekeeper cannot view the angler’s images on the official tournament computer, then the angler will not be eligible for any prizes. Use of modern Smartphone’s is discouraged but allowed at the competitor’s own risk and must have a removable SD Card. Internet access and cell service are not always available and if the judges cannot download a copy of the images then the fish will not count.
