Welcome to the 11th annual Jeep N Greet Event! We are also a registered "Go Topless Day" event. You can go to the ExtremeTerrain website to see more about the Go Topless Day event if you would like to learn more. You don't need to do anything special other than show up and support the event!
WHO:
Everyone is welcome! Just to clarify, we do NOT exclude anyone from attending based on your questionable vehicle choices. If you have an off-road capable vehicle then we encourage you to come! Bring the whole family as this is a family friendly event!
WHAT:
A laid back, no pressure, sand-wheeling event for people to meet up and have some fun! We have a potluck BBQ and group photo, s'mores cookouts, raffles, and casual gatherings for your enjoyment. Most group runs are not scheduled (other than general morning, afternoon, and evening runs but no set times), rather if you see someone going out – join them! The point of the event is to meet people and have fun!
WHEN:
Stop by whenever you see the event trailer open from Thursday May 14th to Sunday May 17th, or catch us out in the sand playing and tag along!
- Group picture - 12pm to 1pm Saturday the 16th (this takes awhile to coordinate, please be patient and expect to hang out for the whole time give or take a little).
- Potluck BBQ 4/5pm-ish Saturday followed by the raffle.
WHERE:
At Siltcoos Sand Camp, Site 24, you will find the J&G Event Trailer with Chaos Coordinator Jennifer & husband JT. The group photo and event information can be found here.
In the Driftwood Campground at site 67, you will find Chaos Coordinator Terry & fiancé Breanna.
** Starting from Hwy 126 in Florence, Oregon, travel about 7.8 miles South on Highway 101 to the Siltcoos Beach Access Road. Turn right (West) onto the Siltcoos Beach Access Road and proceed 1.3 miles to the Driftwood II Campground entrance. Turn right (North) onto the access road and continue straight to reach the sand.
BEFORE HEADING OUT ON THE SAND:
- Air down your tires to 10-15lbs depending on your tires and vehicle,
- Put up your required 8"x12" orange or red dune flag 9ft. above the ground on your vehicle,
- Stick your OHV permit in an easily visible location on the back of your vehicle, secure your shovel, turn your GMRS or CB radios on
and continue down the sand access road. Once you get to the end of the sand road, keep following to the right where you will see the road open up to the flats on the left and the official J&G Booth on the right at the edge of the flats.
*** All event activities, raffles, meetings, merch & raffle tickets pickup, etc. will be done out of the Sand-Camp-“Booth” by the southernmost flats. We will also do the group photo on the flats near the booth, just to keep things streamlined for you guys so you have more time to enjoy the sandy playground!
WHY:
For Fun! We started this event to bring people together without any special requirement, NO Fees, NO dues, NO specific club affiliations (though we do encourage clubs to attend), etc. Just good old fashioned meet up and hanging out, doing what we all love, wheeling! Let the adventures begin! Hope to see you there!
