Her work explores transformation, mythology, and the psychological landscape through contemporary feminist perspectives. Baade’s research-based practice integrates historical imagery, narrative, and symbolism, examining the cycles of creativity as a dynamic interplay between intuition, structure, and flow. www.carrieannbaade.com3:30 – 4:00 pm | Catherine Blackledge, PhDAnasyrma: Art, Activism, and Archetype of the Divine FeminineCatherine Blackledge, PhD, is a UK-based writer whose 2003 book The Story of V reintroduced audiences to anasyrma—women deliberately revealing the yoni as a power gesture. Published in 13 countries, it was reissued in 2020 as Raising the Skirt: the Unsung Power of the Vagina. Blackledge frames anasyrma as the world’s oldest female power gesture, present across art, folklore, and mythology, and increasingly used in 21st-century activism. She interprets its cross-cultural ubiquity as an archetypal image of the Great Mother and an invitation to embody the Divine Feminine. Her second book, The Man Who Saw the Future, is a biography of astrologer William Lilly. Her forthcoming children’s book, Animal Queendom, celebrating female animals, will be published in the UK on 10 September 2026. http://catherineblackledge.com/4:00 – 4:30 pm | Laura WhitfieldThe Astrology of Persephone: Integration of the Collective ShadowLaura Whitfield is an evolutionary astrologer whose work bridges myth, depth psychology, and cosmic symbolism. Drawing on archetypal astrology, she uses the myth of Persephone as a lens for understanding descent, transformation, and the integration of shadow. Whitfield’s practice emphasizes personal and collective healing through cyclical awareness and symbolic language. In this talk, she will explore Persephone’s relevance to awakening and self-realization, becoming whole, integrated humans, through the intertwined forces of Persephone and Pluto. She will connect the myth to Hermetic principles and Carl Jung’s individuation process, showing how mythic archetypes map inner change and how astrology offers a practical framework for conscious evolution. https://www.psycheastro.com/4:30 – 5:00 pm | Rachel Elsbeth GrossWomen and Resistance through DesignI am a fashion historian and Forbes Contributor fascinated by the storytelling power of apparel.
