For the first time in forever, experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm! Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with new music written exclusively for the stage.

In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf.

Full of magic, humor, and a stunning musical score, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love.

DISNEY’S FROZEN CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS/BREAKDOWN

Elsa
Reserved and hesitant, yet inherently regal, Elsa makes a stunning new Queen of Arendelle. However, she has been trained to fear and hide her magical powers. She is most fearful of hurting her sister, Anna. As she grows older, she is anxious and withdrawn before eventually learning to take control of and become more confident in her powers. Very strong singer.

Anna
Anna is extremely optimistic, enthusiastic extrovert who longs for a connection with others, especially her sister. She has a tremendous amount of energy and love. Naturally funny and courageously fearless, her greatest flaw – and her greatest strength – is her faith in love. Very strong singer with great comic timing.

Kristoff
Kristoff is a self-reliant ice-harvester & Mountain Man with a sarcastic veneer and a rough-around-the-edges exterior that hides a big heart. He is a bit of a loner whose best friend is a reindeer…until he meets Anna. Strong singer.

Hans
The ambitious Prince Hans of the Southern Isles is a real charmer – as handsome as handsome gets. He boasts an exceedingly charming façade that fools everyone, into believing he is Prince Charming, when really, he’s a jerk. Strong singer.

Olaf (male or female)
A big-voiced snowman created by Elsa and Anna when they were children. Olaf is delighted by everything, especially the idea of summer. He is goofy and sweet with a childlike innocence and excellent comic timing. Singer.

Sven (male or female)
The lovable reindeer & sidekick to Kristoff. Funny, inquisitive and intuitive. Strong upper body and core strength and stamina to operate a full body puppet. NON-SINGING, NOT SPEAKING…BUT MAY DO A LITTLE BIT OF DANCING. Depending on the costume, this has the potential to be a VERY PHYSICAL ROLE.

Oaken (will also participate in the chorus)
An extremely cheerful and convivial wandering salesman who loves all things “Hygge” (comfortable and cozy). Singer. (will possibly play multiple roles)

Weselton
A visiting duke who seeks every opportunity to get ahead. He has a huge inferiority complex, and his sole purpose is to hobnob with the elite and royalty. He seizes on Elsa’s “accident” to spread fear and discredit the entire royal family of Arendelle. Short. Singer.

Young Anna
Energetic, free-spirited younger princess of Arendelle who dotes on every word and movement of Elsa. She is heartbroken when she is isolated from Elsa by their parents.

Young Elsa
Bright, poised, elder princess of Arendelle who adores her younger sister. She aims to be a perfect daughter, but wrestles with a dangerous talent.

Queen Iduna (will also participate in the chorus)
Elegant, strong, and devoted mother of the princesses. Singer. (will play multiple roles)

King Agnarr (will also participate in the chorus)
King of Arendelle; warm-hearted and protective father. Singer. (will play multiple roles)

Pabbie
The Shaman of the Hidden Folk, he has a soft spot for “strays”. Singer and dancer.

Bulda
Nurturing, funny, empathetic, and spirited matriarch of the Hidden Folk. Fantastic belt voice and excellent movement/dance skills. Singer and dancer.

Ensemble
Includes the following roles: Townspeople, Staff, Guards, Hidden Folk, Volunteers, Bishop, Handmaidens, Lackeys
