Each week, “Christmas Interrupted” invites us to welcome Jesus not as an addition to our usual holiday routine, but as the gracious divine interruption that opens us to hope, peace, joy, and love on God’s terms. Instead of resisting interruptions, this Advent, the invitation is to see them as opportunities to meet Christ in unexpected ways and places.
The world promises peace through strength, power, or comfort; Isaiah’s vision—and Jesus as the root of Jesse—interrupts this false peace with a vision of reconciling, justice-making, Christ-centered wholeness. How might we accept Christ’s alternative peace in a season full of noise and distraction?
We'd love for you to join us this Sunday as we continue our Advent Sermon Series "Christmas Interrupted" and explore "Interrupted Peace".
Traditional Worship at 8:15 am in the Chapel, 11:00 in the Sanctuary and online, or Family Worship in the Sanctuary at 9:00 am.
