- **Event Description**: Master Michael Calandra, 10th Dan, Hanshi Isshinryu Karate, 7th Dan Matayoshi Kobudo and Senior Indoor Disciple of Grand Master Chen Zhongua - Practical Method & Yukihiro Sugino Sensei - Katori Shinto Ryu will be conducting 4 days of hands on workshops and seminars in Practical Method Taijiquan, Isshinryu Karate, Matayoshi Kobudo, Sosuishi-Ryu Jujutsu. This will be our 6th running annual New York Seminar and Master Calandra brings close to 50 years of intensive training, real life experience and knowledge to our doorstep. This will once again be an opportunity to train with one of the most knowledgeable and capable practitioners of multiple Martial Arts systems. There will be intensive hands on training and partner practice covering weapons and empty hand bunkai/applications, fighting techniques, joint locking, self defense, body mechanics and forms.
Seminar times will begin on Thursday 09/10/26 at 1:00 pm
and run daily through Sunday 9/13/26 ending at 4:00pm covering Isshinryu Karate, Chen Style Practical Method Taijiquan and Sosuishitsu-Ryu Jujutsu. 
Sensei Calandra will be teaching both an Empty Hand Kata and a Bo Kata and taking a deep dive into other kata including advanced ways to practice for senior students. 
Costs will be:
1 Day: $150
2 Days: $225
3 Days: $300
4 Days: $400

Schedule: 
9/10/26 Thursday 1:00pm - 7:00pm Matayoshi Kobudo - 2 sessions
9/11/26 Friday 1:00pm - 7:00pm 
2 sessions. Sensei will be teaching an empty hand crane kata with applications in one session and a Bo kata with applications in the other session. 
9/12/26 Saturday 10am - 5pm Isshinryu Karate - 10:00am to 5:00pm (specific details of what we will be covering to follow)
9/13/26 Sunday 10:00am to 4:30pm
