Big Escambia Creek, Flomaton to Fischer Landing. (enchanted forest)

Meet up at Flomaton Landing for a trip down the Big Escambia Creek to the Escambia River and a take out at Fischer Landing. This trip is about 7 miles long with the last mile on the Escambia River. We will go through the "enchanted forest" before emerging into the main river. The current gauge height at Flomaton is 7.11, but will most likely fall to the 6.7 drought level by Sunday. The creek is still navigable. I have paddle it several times at that level this year. Entrance to the enchanted forest is a little tricky so some boat handling skills are important. Its a good idea to have a change in a dry bag for any paddle in cooler months, just in case (no cotton). The weather forecast is what is typical for South Alabama in late November.
Please be unloaded and ready to shuttle at 0900. Please mark "going" if you intend to come.
