Shell Cleaning Day, Flinders VIC

A chance for chapter members to meet each other and the Victorian project team. Whilst, participating in washing/cleaning and bagging shells to create shellfish reefs for The Reef Ball Rejuvenation Project, Port Phillip Bay.

Be part of the fish habitat restoration project and getting involved in good initiatives like this. There will also be a free BBQ run by chapter members, in middle of the day.

Shell cleaning sessions will run from 10am-12pm. 1 hour break for lunch and to chat to the team. Then from 1:00pm-3:00pm another session of shell cleaning. Volunteers are free to come and go throughout, whether they like to come for half the day or the full day.

What to bring
- Closed-toe shoes.
- Suitable clothing for working outdoors.
- Hat and sunscreen.
- Drink bottle.

This project is made possible by funding support from the Victorian Government to improve recreational fishing in Victoria through revenue from Recreational Fishing Licences, and BCF – Boating, Camping, Fishing.
