You’ll explore the basics of bellydance—hip movements, isolations, and graceful combinations—while also discovering the power of live drumming. Learn how dance and drum connect, moving to the beat and feeling the music come alive in your body. 

Several drums will be available for use and we will provide hip scarves!

This class will be taught by guest instructors, Carmen and Bill.

Carmen has been a passionate and dynamic belly dancer, instructor and performer for more than 18 years. She has trained extensively with renowned instructors, specializing in Egyptian and folkloric styles, and continues to refine her technique and knowledge. 

Bill Noren is a local drummer/percussionist and educator. He performs with a number of middle eastern musicians and is the founder/leader of the middle eastern drum group, Tabla Raq. 

The cost for this exciting workshop is $50 for members and $65 for guests. Members may use the discount code MEMBER15 when registering.
