Give Life This Lent: St. Roch Blood Drive – Thursday, March 26
As we journey through Lent and draw closer to the solemn beauty of Holy Week, we are invited to reflect on Christ’s self‑giving love—a love poured out for the life of the world. One simple, powerful way we can imitate that love is by offering a gift that literally saves lives.
St. Roch will host a Blood Drive on Thursday, March 26, and we warmly encourage parishioners, families, and friends to sign up. Your donation can help trauma patients, those undergoing surgery, people battling cancer, and countless others who depend on the generosity of donors.
During a season when we focus on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, giving blood becomes a profound act of mercy. It is a way of saying, “Here is part of myself, freely given, so that someone else may live.” As we prepare to enter Holy Week—when we remember Christ shedding His blood for us—this act of charity becomes even more meaningful.
Basic Eligibility to Donate:
Must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent, where permitted)
Must weigh at least 110 pounds
Must be in generally good health and feeling well on the day of donation
Additional guidelines may apply; the Red Cross will assist with any questions at check‑in
If you’ve never donated before, consider making this Lent the moment you take that step. If you’re a regular donor, thank you—your witness encourages others.
