Holiday Shopping with AAC 2025

With the holidays coming up quickly, we wanted to make sure kids with disabilities and their families are included in the festivities. Join us for our eigth annual holiday shopping event where kids who use AAC devices can pick out special presents for their caregivers.

Each child will be able to choose from gifts grouped by gender to help narrow the options and will have individual support by trained volunteers to facilitate their ability to communicate their gift choices. Presents will be geared toward adults so kids can choose a gift for a parent, grandparent, caregiver, or other important person in their life. Each gift will be wrapped, allowing kids to keep their choices a surprise until the presents are opened. This program is limited to kids who use AAC devices to communicate. We currently have room for 20 shoppers, however, we may be able to open more spots so please sign up for the waitlist if there are no more tickets and we will notify you if spots become available.

We have 30 minute time slots available between 9:30am and 12:00 pm. Please select the ticket for the time slot you prefer. Both the child and a parent or caregiver should plan to be present for the entire 30 minute time slot as you may need to wait for volunteers to become available.

To keep everyone safe and healthy this holiday season, we ask that you please stay home if you do not feel well on the day of the event.
