Yumiko Yoshioka, a choreographer, dancer, and teacher who has been active in the european and international butoh scene for decades, returns to florence for a 4 day workshop. 

On the last day, we will offer a final presentation to share the group’s process with a private group of friends to feel the group, to harness the tension and the awareness of being watched and channel them into the dance, and to experience the exchange that takes place between the one who dances and the one who receives.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
The body as a receptacle of time.
A dance of metamorphosis inevitably appears.

The main focus of this workshop is a conscious research in the unification of our body/mind/soul, so that we can deeply enjoy the intrinsic process of metamorphosis through the spirit of dance. Body resonance is a key to opening up the doors of an ever-changing world inside and outside ourselves, which helps the body to unfold its secrets, holding them up until they shine and tremble.
