Join North Shore AgroEcology Center farm manager Charlotte Hughes for a hands-on workshop on Saturday, April 12th at 10am to learn how to start your own organic garden seedlings at home. Learn what to look for in soil mixes, seeds, containers, and setup and get input on choosing varieties suited to our region. We will go over the recommended timeline to start different seeds, best practices for feeding and watering your starts, and how to ensure their healthy transition into your garden beds.

Starting your own seedlings can not only save you money, it allows you to grow varieties you can't find in stores- plus you get the joy of tending to green new life in early spring! Everyone will be able to start their own tray of seedlings of their choice to take home. All ages and experience levels welcome.

This is a free class made possible by the Finland Food Chain, North Shore AgroEcology Center, and a generous grant from the Laura Jane Musser Foundation.
