When does the new year actually begin?  Is it the Winter Solstice, when the Sun is at its lowest point, the shortest day?  Or maybe January 1st as would be convenient for a calendar? Or perhaps when the Sun crosses a certain point in the stars?  Or maybe with the New Moon in Capricorn, when both luminaries together are in the most southern sign.  Or, there is the Lunar New Year that will begin on the Aquarian New Moon this year.  And this moon brings the Fire Horse.  As we shed the year of the Snake, and leave a 9-year behind, we welcome the year of the Fire Horse, and a One year… a dynamic time of new beginnings.


Cacao & Star lovers, its time to weave the two together, time to drift away in the story… time to dream the great dream, to bring some clarity to your path, set intentions for the year.  On the New Moon in Capricorn, when the light is at it’s lowest in the northern hemisphere, we will sink into the story of the stars for an outlook on what to expect as we go into this dynamic year.  The Lunar new year begins at the Aquarian new moon, and this is where we completely shed all the old stories that we have been working through over the past year, and we get on the horse to ride out with passion meeting change and new beginnings with courage.  This is a power packed year of Initiation, if you should decide to take it.


The medicine of the stars trickles down once again as the Lunar new year begins with an Eclipse.  The Mystic Star Weaver has come from the stars to share stories, for the planets have been speaking.    



What to bring:

journal, 
cacao mug, 
birth chart (inquire at sign up or print one online, search free birth chart)
an item that will serve as your sacred talisman for the year of the fire horse (examples - a horse figurine, a crystal, a photo, etc)


Sunday, January 18th 4:30-7:30pm

**please arrive between 4:00 and 4:25pm to receive a smudge, use the restroom and settle in. Ceremony begins at 4:30pm. Arriving past 4:30pm can cause a disruption and interrupts the sanctity of the container. Please be respectful of the container, your hosts and fellow participants and plan to arrive early.
