The route takes in parkland, waterways and lakes. There is also lots of interest beyond the natural surroundings, including locks, weirs and bridges.Terrain: The route is classed as moderate and, although largely flat and on good tracks, a reasonable level of fitness is required due to the distance. Some sections may be muddy following wet weather.What to Wear & Bring:• Supportive walking boots or waterproof shoes• Weather-appropriate layers (woodland areas can feel cooler)• Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen (if warm weather)• 1.5–2 litres of water• Packed lunch and snacksFacilities: Toilet and refreshment facilities are available at points within the parks but please come prepared with everything you need for the walk.Transport/Travel : The closest train station is 8 mins in a taxi and a 25 min bus ride from the meeting point. Car parking is available near the meeting point. This event will be led by a BGH trained walk leader.
