Ten For Ken
Kenny Wheeler è stato uno dei musicisti più importanti del jazz contemporaneo e ha contribuito a definire un’estetica europea del genere. La sua musica è caratterizzata da melodie cantabili e malinconiche e da un uso dell’armonia modale con un ruolo strutturale. Un tentetto di studenti del Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini di Firenze, guidati da Alessandro Fabbri, interpreta le sue musiche per rendere omaggio alla sensibilità del grande trombettista canadese naturalizzato inglese.

Cent'anni di Piero Umiliani
Nel centenario della nascita di Piero Umiliani, il Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini celebra il compositore che ha contribuito a sviluppare il jazz in Italia portandolo nel cinema, nella televisione e nella discografia. Un gruppo di studenti del Dipartimento Jazz, guidati da Dario Cecchini, rilegge la sua musica per omaggiarne la creatività, il ritmo e la libertà espressiva.
