- **Event Description**: August 15th is National Check the Chip Day August and a yearly reminder to update your pet’s microchip information to ensure that if they are ever lost, you can be reunited with your beloved pet.

This year, Check the Chip Day falls on a Saturday, and we thought, “why stop at just administering and updating microchips?”   We are thrilled to announce that not only are we going to update information and implant new microchips at the event, we are also hosting a rattlesnake avoidance class for dogs, courtesy of our friends at Get Rattled and inviting our local pet related small businesses. This is going to be a wonderful event dedicated to responsible pet owners and their furry family members! 

Our Check the Chip Day event is going to be at the Out of Town Park in Fernley, on Saturday, August 15th from 9 am to 4 pm. Microchips will be available for purchase for $15.00 each or a donation of an unopened ten-pound bag of pet food. 

To register for the rattlesnake avoidance course, please visit https://getrattled.net/events and select a time slot. Ensure to register each pet individually.
