About the event

From the Source: Exhibition Opening

The Fernie Museum is proud to present From the Source, a new group exhibition celebrating the landscape of Elk Lakes Provincial Park and the vital headwaters of the Elk River. Painted outdoors directly from nature by a group of 8 women artists from BC and Alberta, this exhibit showcases a variety of viewpoints, landscapes and artistic styles unique to each artist inspired by this immersive experience.

Participating artists include Laura Nelson (Fernie), Melanie MacVoy (Fernie), Anie Hepher (Fernie), Anne Aitken Anderson (Jaffray), Valerie Speer (Rosebud, AB), Julia Keenliside (Edmonton, AB) , Christina Olson (Calgary) and Marie-Christine Claveau (Rosswood, BC)
