- **Event Description**: The City of Ferndale's Parks, Recreation, and Trails Advisory Board presents a Youth Pickleball Clinic with Armory Pickleball at Pioneer Pavilion on Friday, May 1. This is a FREE event where youth will have the opportunity to learn the basics of pickleball and connect with other members of the Ferndale community. Registration is required as this clinic has a maximum class size of 16 attendees per time slot. If the registration form is unavailable at the bottom of this page, it is because all spots have been reserved. 

This clinic will be divided into timeslots based on age. When filling out the registration form, please keep note of your timeslot. 

5:30 pm - 6:15 pm, ages 7-10 years old
6:30 pm - 7:15 pm, ages 11-15 years old
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm, all ages/families welcome

About Armory Pickleball: 
This clinic will be led by Amory Pickleball, a high-energy, community-driven collective built for players who live for the game. It all started with our flagship - a massive, 110-year-old sandstone Amory in Bellingham that we flipped into a world-call pickleball sanctuary. Since then, we've taken the same "utopian pickleball" mission to Marysville and Ellensburg, creating the ultimate PNW circuit for anyone who wants an elite indoor experience. 

We're the home of the 24/7-style grind (open 5am - 11pm), pro-grade concrete, and permanent nets. Whether we're pioneering the latest rally scoring formats in our regional tournaments or hosting the next generation of athletes at our Youth Tournaments, we stay on the front lines of the sport. 

About the Instructor: 
This clinic is led by Tristan Trudell, youth coach at Armory Pickleball. "I've loved pickleball ever since I was a kid playing at a friend’s barn on Tuesday nights. After moving up here for college, the pickleball scene in Whatcom County immediately drew me in as a player because of the deep-rooted community aspect. Likewise, being a youth coach at Armory Pickleball has allowed me to pass along my love of the game to kids like me, and anyone willing to learn and have fun! I'm excited to bring that passion towards coaching this clinic and sharing the joy of pickleball with kids and families in the Ferndale community."

Important information:

Preregistration is required.

This is NOT a drop-off event. Youth 12 years and younger are required to have a parent/guardian present for the duration of the event. (Parent participation is encouraged!)

Please bring your own water bottle, tennis shoes, and a pickleball paddle if you have one. 

Demo paddles and balls will be provided.
