In Ex Nihilo, Remsbecher explores the emergence of form through restraint. Working primarily in plaster and mixed media abstraction, the artist constructs surfaces that oscillate between accretion and erasure. Through subtle shifts of texture, density, and repetition, the works investigate how presence can be articulated through reduction—positioning abstraction as a site of philosophical inquiry rather than retreat.
