**Saturday**. **March 6, 2026 - PCA Werks Reunion at the Amelia Island Concours weekend will FEATURE the 924-944-924S-968 TRANSAXLE series this year to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the introduction of the 924 in 1976. ** Without that 2.0 924, our later cars would have never existed. SO the Werks Reunion will put our cars on the judged field up front; have transaxle cars featured in the advertisements and posters; and provide a special place for us in Werks. The last time this happened was in 2016 on the 40th. So let's plan on getting as many transaxle cars on the judged field as we can.
The judged field is limited to around 160 cars. Registration will open in mid-December and it usually fills up in a couple of days.
We need to show PCA and Porsche that the transaxle cars are a big part of the Porsche community. Our cars saved Porsche's bacon in the 80's into the 90's - between 1976 and 1991, Porsche sold over 320,000 of our cars so that they could continue selling less than 200,000 911's.
Keep an eye on **924S944.com** and here for updates on the Werks Reunion and registration opening dates. Your car does NOT have to be a trailer queen, show-perfect or whatever - it just needs to be there. We will be there with Sparky, our '87 924S, along with one or two others from the area. It would be great to have a few Special Edition 924S's, maybe a few 2-liter cars, 931's and other special edition 944's.
This is an opportunity to show off a bit and celebrate this important anniversary.
Mark your calendars for Friday, March 6, 2025 at the Amelia Island Concours event. Questions?
