⭐Class Description:
Explore the exciting world of linocut printmaking with a creative twist in this two-session workshop! Designed for beginners and experienced artists alike, this class introduces the fundamentals of relief printmaking—from designing, carving, and inking a linoleum block to pulling your first print.
After exploring the linocut process, you’ll elevate your prints using mixed media techniques such as multi-plate monotype, chine-collé, and photo etching plates.
Join us for this hands-on experience where traditional and contemporary printmaking collide—perfect for those looking to experiment and expand their artistic practice! No prior experience necessary—just bring your imagination!
⭐This class is being offered to students ages 16+.
⭐Class Dates: 1pm - 4pm on Saturday, August 9th & Sunday, August 10th, 2025 (2-day workshop)
⭐Sliding Scale Registration Fee: $90 - $150/person

⭐Location: Class will take place in the ADA accessible classroom located in the lower level at Kaddatz Galleries (111 W. Lincoln Ave. Fergus Falls, MN 56537).
⭐About the Instructor:
Michael Weatherly is a Minnesota based contemporary printmaker from Elbow Lake, MN. He furthered his education at the University of Minnesota Morris obtaining a BA in Art history and minor in Studio art with an emphasis in printmaking. He has been the recipient of several artist grants including the McKnight Foundation Artist Grant, Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Grants and Individual Artist Grants from the Lake Regions Arts Council. Recently he was awarded the 2024 LRAC Fellowship grant.
He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally and has been featured on the cover of 500,000 Evangelical Lutheran Church bulletins.
