State of the County
Join us for the 2026 State of the County Address as Cumberland County Board of Commissioners Chairman Kirk deViere shares updates on the County’s progress, current initiatives and plans for the future.

The public and members of the media are welcome to attend. The State of the County Address and Board of Commissioners Regular Meeting will also be livestreamed on Cumberland County’s YouTube channel and CCNCTV (Spectrum Channel 5).

The State of the County Address will be followed by the Board of Commissioners Regular Meeting at 6:45 p.m.

Date & Time: Monday, March 16, 2026, at 6 p.m.
Location: Cumberland County Historic Courthouse, 130 Gillespie St., Fayetteville

Deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office will be on site. Handheld metal detector screenings will be conducted, and bags, purses and briefcases will be checked.

The Historic Courthouse is accessible via a ramp on the south side of the building and includes an elevator to the second-floor meeting room.
